Privacy Policy

Summary

Magnifier does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The app works entirely on your device. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

Information We Collect

We collect no information whatsoever. Specifically:

We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number, location, identifiers).
We do not collect usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry.
We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or device fingerprinting.
We do not integrate third-party SDKs that collect data on our behalf.
We do not store any data on our servers, because we do not operate any servers connected to the app.

Camera Access

Magnifier requires access to your device camera to function as a magnifying glass. Here is exactly how that camera access is used:

The camera feed is displayed live on your screen, magnified by the zoom level you choose.
The camera feed is never recorded, saved, uploaded, or transmitted anywhere.
When you use the Freeze function, a still frame is captured to your device memory temporarily, and discarded as soon as you unfreeze or close the app. Nothing is written to long-term storage.
No image processing, OCR, face detection, or content analysis is performed.

You may revoke camera permission at any time in your device Settings. The app will not function without camera access, but no data is retained when permission is revoked.

Permissions Requested

Magnifier requests the following Android permissions:

Camera — required for the magnification function. Used only while the app is open and visible.

The app does not request location, contacts, storage, microphone, network, or any other permission.

Network Connections

Magnifier does not make any network connections. The app does not require an internet connection to function and does not send or receive any data over a network.

Third-Party Services

Magnifier does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or libraries that collect user data. No advertising networks, no analytics platforms, no crash-reporting services.

Children's Privacy

Magnifier is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no data at all, it complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements for children, and Google Play's Families Policy. No special handling for users under 13 is required because no data is collected from anyone.

Your Rights

Under GDPR (EU/EEA), CCPA (California), and similar privacy laws, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Because Magnifier does not collect or store any personal data, there is no data to access, correct, delete, or export. The right is honored by default through our zero-collection policy.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change the app's data practices, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the change. Material changes affecting how data is handled would be communicated through the app's release notes on Google Play. The current version is always available at the URL where you are reading this.
