Vaikus is a call-blocking application for Android. It is designed around a simple principle: your data never leaves your device, because the app has no way to send it anywhere.
None. Vaikus does not collect, store on servers, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The app does not request the Internet permission, so it is technically incapable of network communication. There are no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting services, and no user accounts.
Vaikus keeps the following information locally on your phone, under the app's private storage, solely to provide its functionality:
This information is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. If you use the export feature, a file with your rules is saved only to the location you choose; sharing that file is entirely under your control.
Vaikus uses the official Android call screening role (CallScreeningService). When a call arrives from a number that is not in your contacts, the system briefly provides the number to the app on your device so a blocking decision can be made. This processing happens locally and instantly; the number is stored only in the local blocked-call log described above, and only if the call was blocked. If the system indicates which SIM the call arrived on, that is recorded alongside the log entry.
READ_PHONE_STATE) — optional, and requested only when you tap “SIM detection” in Settings. It lets a blocking rule apply to one SIM card instead of all of them. Vaikus reads only the list of calling accounts on the device and the names shown for them. It does not read your phone number, IMEI, serial number, subscriber ID, carrier details, or the state of any call.Why the system dialog sounds broader than it is. Android labels this request with the name of the entire permission group rather than the single permission being asked for, so the dialog reads “Allow Vaikus to make and manage phone calls?”. Vaikus does neither. It cannot place a call — it does not hold the CALL_PHONE permission — and “Call” buttons in the app only hand a number to your phone app for you to confirm. The wording comes from Android; what the app actually reads is the list above.
Declining costs you nothing else: every other feature keeps working, and SIM cards are then recognised gradually instead, as calls arrive on each of them. You can revoke the permission at any time in Android Settings.
Vaikus does not request access to your contacts, call log, microphone, location, or storage.
No data is shared with third parties, because no data is collected. The app contains no third-party tracking or advertising components.
Vaikus is not directed at children and, as described above, collects no data from any user.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Since the app cannot communicate over the network, any material change to data handling would also be visible in the app's permission list.
